If you have received a civil infraction citation, you have the right to dispute the ticket and request a review of your case. The Court offers two dispute options, depending on the agency that issued your citation:
- In-Person Hearing
- Online Review Request
Please read the information below carefully to select the correct option.
Option 1: Request an In-Person Hearing
- An in-person hearing allows you to appear before the Prosecutor to dispute your citation. Hearing dates are assigned based on the jurisdiction or agency that issued the ticket and will be mailed to you once scheduled.
- Hearings are scheduled as follows (no exceptions):
- Plymouth Township, Plymouth City, Northville Township, and Northville City Scheduled on Mondays only.
- Canton Township Scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
- Michigan State Police and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Scheduled on Fridays only.
IF your ticket was issued by one of the above agencies, you will be scheduled on the assigned day. Click the link below to begin the process.
Option 2: Request an Online Review
The online review option allows you to submit a written response electronically for review by the prosecutor. This option is not available for all citations.
Not Eligible for Online Review:
Tickets issued by the Michigan State Police or Wayne County Sheriff’s Office must be scheduled for an in-person hearing.
How to Request an Online Review

2. Search for your ticket.
3. Create an account to access your case.
4. Submit your written response for prosecutor review.
All communication regarding your request will be handled through email. If an offer is made, you must accept or decline it within the stated time frame. Monitor your email closely and respond promptly.
Basic Driver Improvement Class (BDIC) Information
If the prosecutor’s offer includes attending a Basic Driver Improvement Class, you may complete the course using the link below.
• A certificate of completion must be received by the court within 30 days of accepting the offer. Certificates may be submitted in one of the following ways:
- In person at the Court
- By email to: kmcrae@35thdistrictcourt.org
