Eric Colthurst has been a
Magistrate of the 35th District Court for the past fifteen
years. He has been a practicing attorney in the City of Plymouth
for 21 years.
Magistrate Colthurst
received his law degree from Washburn Law School in 1980. Prior
to that, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with honors,
from Michigan State University. Eric is a member of the Kiwanis
Club of Plymouth and is also a Past President of that
organization. He is also a member of the Plymouth and
Northville Chambers of Commerce. He is the Treasurer of the
Northville chapter. Magistrate Colthurst is also a Director of
the Northville Community Foundation.
He received a Meritorious
Services Award from the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America;
and Kiwanis Volunteer of the Year. Magistrate Colthurst is also
a member of the National Wheelchair Basketball Assoc. National
Champions.
